What you will need

On an iPad, any app that can open a picture and let you color on top of it will work. Two I recommend: Pigment, which is made for coloring and is free to start, and Procreate, a full drawing app (one-time purchase) if you want brushes, layers, and more control. On paper, all you need is a printer and your favorite pencils or markers.
